3 Overdose In Bridgeport Apartment In Front Of Children, Police Say
Police are investigating after three people were found overdosing in a Fairfield County apartment. The incident took place in Bridgeport around 9:30 p.m., Monday, Feb. 13 after a resident of the Greene Homes Apartments located on Harral Avenue reported their neighbor was unresponsive, said Scott Appleby, director of Emergency Management for the City of Bridgeport. Bridgeport Fire and AMR were dispatched to the incident where they found three people who appeared to be suffering from a possible overdose, Appleby said. Stratford Man Dead, Another Injured In Shooting Inside Area Restaurant
One person was killed and another injured during a shooting inside a Fairfield County restaurant. The shooting took place around 12:55 a.m., Sunday, July 11 at the Copa Restaurant located at the intersection of Lexington Avenue and Harral Avenue in Bridgeport. When Bridgeport police arrived on the scene they found two people suffering from gunshot wounds, said Captain Kevin Gilleran. The victims were quickly transported to St. Vincent’s Hospital. Pedestrian Injured In Hit-Run Crash
A pedestrian was hospitalized with injuries after a hit-and-run crash in Fairfield County. It happened just before 2 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 16 at the intersection of Harral Avenue and Pequonnock Street in Bridgeport. The vehicle did not stop after the incident and Bridgeport Police investigators are reviewing various surveillance cameras in the area. The pedestrian was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening facial injuries, Bridgeport Police said. Two Injured In Overnight Bridgeport Shooting
Bridgeport Police are investigating an overnight shooting that left two people injured. The shooting took place around 11:15 p.m. Thursday on Harral Avenue where a person was grazed by a bullet on their shoulder, said Av Harris, director of Legislative Affairs/Public Policy for the Bridgeport Arriving officers found the victim at 548 Harral Ave. Police said a possible vehicle involved was described as a black Toyota which fled south on Center Street. Man Wanted In Bridgeport Murder Apprehended In Florida
A teenager wanted in connection to a fatal shooting last year has been apprehended by law enforcement officials in Florida. Jahmari “Wack” Cooper was taken into custody on Thursday, Sept. 27 by the U.S. Marshals Service as he got out of a car in Riviera Beach. He’s wanted for his role in the October murder of Jeri Kollock at a housing complex in Bridgeport last year. Cooper has been charged with felony counts of murder and robbery.
