Police: Shelton Man Writes Bogus Inheritance Letter After Friend's Death .A suspicious inheritance note led to the arrest of a Fairfield County man who allegedly attempted to steal his friend’s belongings, police said. Officers from the Shelton Police Department were dispatched to a Howe Avenue apartment on April 19, where there was a report of an unresponsive man inside the residence. Upon arrival, officers found Shelton resident Jorge Ospina, 45, performing CPR on his friend, who was later pronounced dead, police said. Man Charged In Brutal Murder Of Wife's Disabled Uncle In Fairfield County A 39-year-old Fairfield County man has been charged in the brutal murder of his wife's disabled uncle who was tortured before his death.  Brent Whiteman of Bridgeport was arrested Friday on a warrant charging him with the  Feb. 8, 2017, murder of his wife's uncle, Robert Jones, said Av Harris, spokesman for the Bridgeport Police. Whiteman's wife, Tynisha Hall, is currently awaiting trial for her role in the murder.
