Police Track Down Suspect In Hit-Run Crash In Westport A man involved in a hit-and-run crash in Westport early this month has now been identified and apprehended, police say. Westport Police say they arrested Elvin Mendez-Molina on Wednesday, Sept. 25 after he turned himself in at police headquarters. According to police, Mendez-Molina was involved in a hit-and-run crash on Riverside Avenue on Friday, Sept. 6 around 5:40 p.m. The victim told police that while she was stopped for traffic on Riverside Avenue, a vehicle attempted to pass her on the right side and hit her vehicle in the process, causing damage.
