Man Charged With Illegal Racing, Negligent Homicide In Stratford Crash A 29-year-old man involved in a road race that ended with the death of his passenger has been charged with negligent homicide.  Ronald Patterson, of Bridgeport, was arrested Tuesday in connection with the April 6 crash that left his passenger, Dawaan Edwards, dead, said Stratford Police Capt. Bridgeport Man ID'd As Victim In Fatal Stratford Crash A Bridgeport man has been identified as the victim in a one-car fatal crash on Lordship Boulevard near Access Road in Stratford. Dawaan Edwards, 20, has been identified as the passenger who was killed around 12:18 a.m. Friday, said Stratford Police Capt. Frank Eannotti. An initial investigation indicates that the vehicle, which was driving westbound on Lordship Boulevard, failed to negotiate a slight curve in the roadway, drove off the road and struck a tree near the intersection, Eannotti said.
