Man Caught Attempting To Steal From Westport Business, Police Say A Norwalk man is facing charges after being busted red-handed attempting to shoplift a set of silverware from a Westport business. Officers from the Westport Police Department were dispatched to the store at approximately 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 31, following a report from a loss prevention agent who had Darryl Hall, 53, in custody. Police said that the agent spotted Hall attempt to conceal the silverware inside his jacket before exiting the store without paying.
