Man Charged In Westport Smash-Grab Jewelry Store Robbery A Fairfield County man has been charged in connection with a smash-and-grab robbery in which the thieves made off with an unknown quantity of jewels. On Wednesday, May 29, Westport Police arrested 30-year-old Bridgeport resident Javon Thorbourne in connection with the case on Thursday, May 9, at the Lux, Bond, and Green at 136 Main St.  According to Lt. Police Arrest Four, Including Man Wanted For Sex Assault, Recover Stolen Car In Warrant Sweep Four people, including a man wanted for sexual assault, were arrested and a stolen vehicle was recovered during a warrant sweep in Fairfield County. It was conducted on Thursday, Feb. 20 as detectives from the Trumbull Police Department coordinated efforts with other local police agencies to track down individuals who have not been held accountable for criminal incidents that they had been involved in.
