Shelton Man Stabs Roommate, Steps Into Traffic This story has been updated. A man who stabbed his 60-year-old roommate multiple times and then was hit by a vehicle has been arrested for the crime. Carmelo Rivera, 26, of Shelton, was arrested around 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 23, following an investigation into a stabbing and pedestrian struck incident during the early morning hours, said Shelton Police Det. Richard Bango.
