Ex-Cop Pleads Guilty To Sexually Assaulting Teen In Fairfield County A former police officer in Fairfield County has pleaded guilty to assaulting a teenager that he met through the department’s Explorer program. Retired Trumbull police officer Michael Gonzalez, 40, pleaded guilty to fourth-degree sexual assault, second-degree unlawful restraint and second-degree stalking dating back to an incident earlier this year. The investigation into Gonzalez began in September last year following a request by the Bridgeport Superior Court State's Attorney Office regarding a possible sexual assault involving Gonzalez in Stamford, state police said.
