CT Shootings Leave One Dead, Two Wounded, Police Say
Police in Connecticut are investigating two shootings that left a 22-year-old man dead and two others wounded.
At around 1:50 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 18, police responded to the area of 614 Albany Ave., in Hartford for a Shot Spotter activation, according to Lt. Aaron Boisvert, of the Hartford Police.
Minutes later officers were dispatched to a second Shot Spotter activation at 152 Mather St., Boisvert said.

CT Man Sentenced For Drug Distribution, Firearm Possession
A Connecticut man has been sentenced to seven years in prison for narcotics distribution and firearm possession offenses.
Kendall Jones, age 32, of Hartford, was sentenced on Tuesday, Sept. 28, after pleading guilty to the crimes in April, said Leonard C Boyle, acting US Attorney for the District of Connecticut.

Fight Over Cutting In Line Leads To CT Man's Murder, Police Say
Police have made an arrest in the deadly stabbing of a Connecticut man during a dispute at a liquor store.
Wilfredo Rosa, age 54, of Hartford, was captured early Wednesday, Aug. 18, for the stabbing murder, which took place around 4:30 p.m., Monday, Aug. 16 at French’s Liquor Store on Albany Avenue, said Lt. Aaron Boisvert.
The murder of Jeremiah Fitzgerald, age 30, was the 27th of the year, led Hartford Police Chief Jason Thody to discuss the rising violence this year during the city's council's public safety meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 17.

CT Man Found Stabbed, Dies Hours Later, Police Say
A 30-year-old Connecticut man has died after being stabbed multiple times.
Jeremiah Fitzgerald, age 30, address unknown, was found by officers around 4:30 p.m., Monday, Aug. 16 in Hartford in the area of 580 Albany Ave., Lt. Aaron Boisvert said.
Hartford Police officers were dispatched to the area of 580 Albany Avenue on a report of a person stabbed. Upon arrival, officers found Fitzgerald suffering from stab wounds.

After a chase and a rollover crash, police in Connecticut arrested a man wanted in connection with a shooting that left one dead and one injured.
Hartford arrested Chan Williams-Bey Jr., age 25, of Hartford, was arrested in connection with the shooting death of Siddhartha Lake-Sudan, age 37, of East Hartford around 1:50 a.m., Wednesday, June 23, said Hartford PD Lt. Aaron Boisvert.

CT Dealer Sentenced For Trafficking Fentanyl, Other Drugs, Possessing Shotgun
A 28-year-old man will spend more than a decade in prison for drug trafficking and possessing an illegal short-barrel shotgun, federal prosecutors announced.
Hartford resident Danny Castillo, 28, has been sentenced to 128 months in prison followed by five years of supervised release for trafficking fentanyl, other drugs, and possessing a short-barrel shotgun.
In August 2018, the FBI’s Northern Connecticut Gang Task Force and the Hartford Police Department received a tip that Castillo and his associate, Pascual Ivan Medina, were distributing fentanyl in and around the city.
