Students Sent Home From Platt Tech In Milford After Threat

MILFORD, Conn. — Platt Technical High School in Milford was sending students home early Thursday after an unspecified threat in the morning led to a full evacuation, NBC Connecticut said.

State Police, who responded at 9:30 a.m., said troopers and canine units checked the building and found no dangers, NBC said.

Milford police responded as students waited on a nearby soccer field and at the YMCA, the Connecticut Post said

Platt Tech, located in Milford, is a regional high school operated by the state. In addition to Milford, it serves students in Fairfield County from Fairfield, Bridgeport, Shelton, Stratford and Trumbull. It also serves students from Bethany, Orange, Woodbridge, West Haven, New Haven, North Haven, East Haven, Branford, Ansonia, Derby, Seymour and Oxford.
