Kelly contends the closure would put developmentally disabled residents of the state at risk, adding that the decision to close the facility was made without input from family members, caregivers, or the state legislature.
“These vulnerable individuals deserve respect and dignity,” Kelly said. “So do their families and loved ones. More than 2,000 people in Connecticut are currently on the waiting list for services similar to those provided by the Center. Please join me in opposing the Center's closure.”
