The Davis Award recognizes a woman business leader and BRBC member who is accomplished in her professional life and community.
Hoydick, who has lived, worked and volunteered her entire life in Stratford, is currently serving as deputy House Republican leader in the Connecticut General Assembly.
“I am very honored to receive the Susan L. Davis Leadership Award by an organization that is so critical to focusing and galvanizing the economic strength of our region,” said Hoydick. “I have deeply enjoyed being a part of this outstanding organization, working to improve our communities and our region through volunteerism and commerce. I deeply admire Susan Davis and to receive this recognition in her name is very special to me.”
Along with her work in in the General Assembly, Hoydick is a member of the AmeriCorps class of 1994-95, as well as a supporter of Leadership Greater Bridgeport, the Stratford Chamber of Commerce, the Sterling House Community Center, the Stratford Partnership for Youth and Families and the Perry House Foundation.
She was also recently appointed to the Board of Directors of the Stratford Visiting Nurse Association.
