UPDATE: MILFORD, Conn. — The missing 70-year-old man from Milford was found safe Friday afternoon after he went missing in the morning, according to the Greenwich Fire Department. .

He was being evaluated but appeared to be in good condition, officials said.

MILFORD, Conn. — A State Police K-9 is on the scene assisting as the Milford Police Department searches for a missing 70 year-old man on Friday.

Richard James of Christopher Drive, Milford, was last seen at about 7 a.m. Friday, police said.

He is 5-foot-10 and weighs about 180 pounds, police said. He was last seen wearing a brown plaid shirt and pajama bottoms, police said.

The police department is asking for the public's help in locating the missing man, who is the father of a Greenwich firefighter.
