Two Injured When Bus Sideswipes Vehicle In Bridgeport

Two people were injured when a Bridgeport Transit bus sideswiped a parked vehicle.

The incident took place around 10:25 a.m., Monday, Nov. 18, when the 58-year-old driver of the bus hit a GMC Canyon on Fairfield Avenue, said Terron Jones, spokesman for the Bridgeport Police Department.

The driver of the parked car was an 86-year-old man, Jones said.

The bus was occupied by three passengers, one of which was taken to the hospital for treatment. 

The driver of the parked vehicle was also transported for evaluation. 

The bus driver was given a written warning for the incident. 

The crash is under investigation.
