STRATFORD, Conn. -- Lordship residents are asking police for protection after a neighbor, accused of firing shots and holding his dog hostage, was released from jail on Wednesday, Nov. 11, according to the ctpost.com.

The neighbor, Richard Watt, 59, of York Street, was charged with assault on a public safety officer, threatening, breach of peace, interfering with police and illegally cultivating marijuana, said the ctpost.com.

After Watt posted $100,000 bond and went back home, residents wrote a letter to Police Chief Patrick Ridenhour, saying they are worried for their safety, reported the ctpost.com.
