Stratford Police Thank Ashcroft Industries For Donation To K-9 Unit

STRATFORD, Conn. — The Stratford Police Department K9 Unit is thanking Ashcroft Industries for making a $1,000 donation on Friday to the department's K-9 Unit.

"Building these partnerships with local business and within the community helps to keep these important resources available and in service to the public," the Stratford Police Department said in a statement.

The K9 Unit consists of three trained K9s and handlers, which are assigned to each shift.

The Stratford Police K9s are trained to recover evidence, track and locate missing persons or suspects, and find illegal drugs.

"It’s greatly appreciated and will be used for training and equipment to keep our K9s top performers," the statement said.
