Stratford Kayakers Rescued From Housatonic River

STRATFORD, Conn. -- A father and son out kayaking were rescued from the Housatonic River on June 4 after their boats became flooded, according to the Stratford Star.

Officers from the Stratford Police Marine Unit rescued a father and son from the river after they overturned their kayaks.

The pair, who rolled their kayaks and were unable to get them upright again, were rescued from the water by the Stratford Police Marine Unit and a nearby boater, the Stratford Star reported. They were taken to the Birdesye Boat Ramp. Neither was injured, said the Stratford Star.
