Stratford Firehouses, Municipal Buildings Open As Warming Centers

STRATFORD, Conn. -- Firehouses in Stratford will be opened as warming centers at least for the next several days as an arctic blast envelops the region, according to a report in the ctpost.

The centers will be open from 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 11, through midnight Monday, Feb. 15, the ctpost report said.

Shivering citizens can also come into municipal buildings to warm up – during regular business hours, the ctpost story said.

The National Weather Service says temperatures are expected to fall below zero, with wind chills making it feel like is is 25 below.
