The incident took place around 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 9, at Scratch Baking on Board Street, in Milford, when the woman stuffed the jar with cash into a large handbag, the bakery told police.
The bakery then posted a video of the woman snatching the jar on its Facebook page and police posted photos of the still unidentified woman on its Facebook page.
A day later, police had the woman's name and are currently in the process of obtaining a warrant for her arrest, said Milford Police.
The woman's name is not being released until she is charged with the crime, Officer Joseph Dempsey said.
Bakery employees are just glad she was caught.
