Police Chief Patrick Ridenhour said that Clements, who has worked for the department for 25 years, and for more than five years with Khan, decided that the two should retire together, added the Stratford Star.

The department will now begin looking to raise funds to replace the dog and hire an officer, said the Stratford Star.
