McNeil Takes Over As Stratford Police Chief

STRATFORD, Conn. – Joe McNeil took over as Stratford police chief on Monday morning, according to the Stratford Star.

McNeil was sworn in during a ceremony at City Hall, along with John Popik as deputy chief, the Stratford Star said.

He plans to expand the police force to a full staff of 110 officers from its current 98, reported the Stratford Star.

A more formal ceremony is planned for sometime in August, the Stratford Star noted.
