Man Struck By Car In Stratford Suffers Serious Injuries

STRATFORD, Conn. — A man was taken to the hospital with serious injuries after he was struck by a car Friday night in Stratford, according to the Connecticut Post.

Stratford Police arrested a former FedEx employee in connection with the theft of several cell phones.

It was unclear whether the man was a pedestrian or on a moped when the accident occurred at about8:15 p.m. on Canaan Road near Mary Avenue, the Connecticut Post said.

Canaan Road was closed with a damaged moped and Volkswagen in the roadway with a pile of debris, the Post said.
