Anthony Velez, 25, was a passenger in a car that was stopped on Schoolhouse Road near I-95 on Wednesday, Aug. 9, police said.

An investigation led to the arrest of Velez, who had a loaded handgun in his possession at the time, police said. He does not have a valid permit for the weapon, which he is banned from possessing because he is a convicted felon, police said.
