Milford Woman Identified Who Ran In Front Of Amtrak Train

MILFORD, Conn. — A 45-year-old Milford woman was identified as the person who was killed Friday after running in front of an Amtrak train near Buckingham Avenue, according to the Connecticut Post.

No criminality is suspected in the death of Lauren Escobar, who was struck and killed by a Boston-bound Acela train at about 2 p.m. Friday, a Metro-North spokeswoman told the Post.

Her death was one of two fatalities on the tracks Friday in Connecticut. The identity of a man struck and killed in Guilford at about 8:30 a.m. by a south-bound Acela train has not been released, the Post said.
