I-95 In Stratford To Close For Construction

STRATFORD, Conn. -- The Connecticut Department of Transportation announced construction activities along Interstate 95 northbound and southbound near Exit 30 in the town of Stratford will require the implementation of a full highway closure for intermittent periods of 10 minutes during the nighttime hours Monday, Nov. 23 and Tuesday, Dec.1.

The construction is for the removal of existing and installation of new overhead signs and sign supports.

Closures will occur between the hours of 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zones. Motorists should be aware modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.

Additionally, construction activities associated with the installation of signs along Route 25, Interstate 84 and Interstate 95 in the towns of Fairfield, Bridgeport, Stratford, Milford, Orange, West Haven, Trumbull and Danbury will require the implementation of both day and nighttime lane restrictions. This work is scheduled to continue through Dec. 15, according to ConnDOT.
