The monthly discussion group looks at offbeat books over locally crafted brews and light-hearted banter. The library’s adult reference staff will lead February’s discussion of Amy Ellis Nutt’s true story about an American family dealing with transgender issues.
Named a New York Times bestseller, a New York Times Notable Book, One Of The 10 Best Books Of The Year By People Magazine, one of the Best Books Of The Year by Men’s Journal and a Stonewall/Israel Fishman Non-Fiction Award Honor Book, “Becoming Nicole” tells the true story of a transgender girl, her identical twin brother and an ordinary American family’s journey to understand, nurture and celebrate the uniqueness in us all.
The talk will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Sitting Duck Tavern is located at 3694 Main St. A snow date will take place Thursday, Feb. 25 at 7 p.m. if necessary.
