Team Vicki Soto invites all parents, student and educators to visit the Sterling House Community Center to donate children’s books and help carry out Soto’s commitment to literacy. Free libraries promote literacy, a love of reading and build a sense of community.

Soto, along with five other educators and 20 students, was killed Dec. 14, 2012 in the Sandy Hook Elementary School tragedy.

Team Vicki Soto has heard from Stratford teachers and administrators that they are in need of classroom libraries. If you are a Stratford educator, visit the book drive between 1:30-3 p.m. to take books to begin a classroom library and spread the love of learning and literacy for students.

Stratford principals and teachers may RSVP to aewiltsie@gmail.com if they are planning to attend.

The Sterling House Community Center is at 2283 Main St., Stratford.
