The totally unscientific survey will ask library patrons to cast their own votes as to who they think will win in the major categories when the awards are distributed Feb. 28. The library is also promoting its own collection of current “hot release” Oscar-nominated DVDs.
These include best picture nominees “The Martian,” “Mad Max: Fury Road” and “Bridge of Spies.” Library patrons can also find best actor nominees Michael Fassbender in “Steve Jobs” and Bryan Cranston in “Trumbo" as well as best documentary contender “Amy."
Other nominated films now on DVD and available for free loan include: “Ex Machina,” “Inside Out,” “Sicario,” “Fifty Shades of Gray,” “The Hunting Ground,” “Spectre,” “Straight Outta Compton” and “Cinderella”
The Oscar exhibit is on display in the main lobby of the Stratford Library, 2203 Main St., through Sunday, Feb. 28.
Ballots are available there and voters who select all six top winners will win a pair of tickets to Stratford’s Square One Theatre Company.
