Stratford Summer Concert Series To Feature 'The Voice' Contestants

STRATFORD, Conn. -- Joey C’s Boathouse Cantina & Grill in Stratford will present a Rock Angel Summer Concert Series starring contestants from NBC's “The Voice."

Performances will be on June 10, July 8 and Aug. 5. Meet and greets with the artists who will be performing on Fridays will be held from 9 to 11:30 p.m.

The lineup of musical artists who will be performing on the dock overlooking the Housatonic River are: 

  • Luke Wade, June 10 -- free concert 
  • Blessings Offor, July 8
  • Sugar Jones, Aug. 5

Special guest star rock band Maniac Jack will perform Sept. 9, debuting songs from their soon to be released new album.

There will also be a Chateau D’Esclans Rose’ wine tasting before each event from 7 to 8:30 p.m. featuring its Whispering Angel and Rock Angel cult rose’ wines.

The first concert June 10 will be free as a thank you to the community for their patronage and support during the first year Joey C’s opened in Stratford.

Concerts are held rain or shine with music indoors in case of bad weather.

Joey C’s Boathouse Cantina & Grill is on the marina at the Dockside Shopping Center, at 955 Ferry Blvd., Stratford.
