Stratford Library Sets Up Charlie And the Chocolate Factory Fundraiser

STRATFORD, Conn. -- The Stratford Library will hold a special Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Bookfair fundraiser at Barnes & Noble of Milford on Friday, from 6 to 8 p.m.

A percentage of purchases made that evening will directly benefit the library’s summer reading program.

The fundraiser will kick off with children’s activities and an art display; it will also include crafts, a scavenger hunt, games and a special chocolate café menu.

Magician Jay Reidy will present a 20-minute magic show at 6:15 p.m. At 7 p.m., children can play Willy Wonka’s Factory Adventure game. Using the Library’s Bookfair ID# (11689270) at checkout, shoppers can continue to support the library from Nov. 20 to Nov. 25 at the Milford Barnes & Noble.
