Stratford Library Holding Annual Book Sale

STRATFORD, Conn. -- The Stratford Library will hold its annual book sale on Thursday, June 2, through Sunday, June 5.

The event, one of the major fund-raising initiatives for the library, is being organized by the Board of Trustees under co-chairs Karla Glad and Shelley Hall of Stratford.

Items available at the sale will include books, videos, DVDs and audio tapes spanning a broad range of categories, including religion, business, music, art, philosophy, science fiction, biography, non-fiction and bestsellers.

The sale will commence with a preview night on Thursday, June 2, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

The event is free and open to the public, with all books double the marked price.

The general book sale will be held on Friday, June 3, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturday, June 4, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Saturday’s sale will be held in conjunction with Stratford’s annual Main Street Festival.

On Sunday, June 5, the library will offer a half-price sale on all remaining books from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Items will be sold at $6 a bag from 2:30 to 4 p.m.
