The Whiskey Barrel is scheduled to go into its place later this year. The new bar and restaurant is owned by Jose Tiago, who is behind Tiago’s in Bridgeport.
Meanwhile, John Miranda, the longtime owner of The Frog Pond will continue to own the property and focus more on his real estate business. He also plans to open a restaurant on Honeyspot Road, near Two Roads Brewing Co.
