State Rep Hoydick Takes Leadership Post At Stratford Chamber

STRATFORD, Conn. -- A longtime Stratford volunteer with a background in chamber management, real estate, property management and elected office is the new Executive Director of the Stratford Chamber of Commerce

This is not a new role for Laura Hoydick who served in that post from 2003 to 2007, according to the announcement by the Bridgeport Regional Business Council.

Stratford Chamber of Commerce is one of the BRBC’s three Affiliate Chambers of Commerce.

This role is not a new one for Hoydick who served as Executive Director from 2003 to 2007.

She is a former employee and a colleague of Mary Dean, the departing Executive Director.

Hoydick and Dean will work together to communicate economic development projects in Stratford through the BRBC’s quarterly regional economic development report, The QR, said the announcement.

“As President and CEO, I am extremely excited about Laura Hoydick joining our vibrant team of professionals at the Bridgeport Regional Business Council," said Mickey Herbert.

"Her background and experience in business, economic development, and as a State Representative will enable us to continue to build a better Bridgeport Region."

Laura Hoydick has a degree n business from Sacred Heart University and is a graduate of BRBC's Leadership Greater Bridgeport program.
