Sikorsky To Provide Refurbished Black Hawk Helicopters To Afghanistan

STRATFORD, Conn – Stratford's Sikorsky will give 159 refurbished Black Hawk helicopters to Afghanistan's special forces in an effort to bolster the country's air force, according to the Military Times.

The 159 units will be delivered over four years with the first batch to arrive in 21 months, the Military Times said.

Once the delivery is complete, it will nearly double the compliment of helicopters, the Military Times reported.
