Sikorsky Reiterates Plans To Stay In Stratford

STRATFORD, Conn. -- As the shock of General Electric's announcement to leave Fairfield settles in, another major employer, Sikorsky Aircraft, is assuring the state that it plans to stay in Startford, according to the Stratford Star.

Sikorsky Aircraft, headquartered in Stratford, said its has no plans to leave the area.

Rumors began to fly last week after GE's announcement, but according to a Sikorsky spokesman, the helicopter company has no plans to go anywhere, added the Stratford Star.

Sikorsky's future had been the subject of much discussion after United Technologies Corp. sold the division to Lockheed Martin last year, said the Stratford Star.
