Stamford Soccer Players Pour It On, Despite Rain

STAMFORD, Conn. — Monday afternoon’s rain couldn’t dampen the enthusiasm of several men playing soccer at Westhill High School. The rain kept temperatures in the mid-70s, which was much more comfortable than the recent heat wave.

Showers are expected to continue Monday night, with a possibility of thunderstorms between 7 p.m. and 3 a.m. Tuesday, the National Weather Service said. Sunny summer weather will return Tuesday with a high near 86, the forecast says.

Sunshine will continue Wednesday and Thursday, with highs in the mid to high 80s, the forecast says. Friday's outlook includes a chance of showers and thunderstorms.
