Stamford Gets Five Inches Of Snow

STAMFORD, Conn. — More than five inches of snow blanketed Stamford on Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service. Along with snow, the nor’easter brought rain and strong winds reaching up to 50 mph in parts of the state, the weather service said.

The storm conditions led to minor to moderate coastal flooding, the weather service said. The weather service reported 5.3 inches fell in Stamford, and 5.2 inches fell in North Stamford based on unofficial observations.

The snow may not be around long as the forecast calls for temperatures to climb back up into the 50s and 60s by Friday, with rain not expected until Monday night.
