STAMFORD, Conn. Get ready to say goodbye to the sun. The National Weather Service expects rain and thunderstorms to roll in Thursday afternoon. The rain should subside by 9 p.m.
With the rain, the heat should break as well, with temperatures expected to drop into the mid-70s for Friday, much more comfortable than the high 80s to low 90s seen earlier in the week.
Wet weather will continue Friday afternoon, with showers and thunderstorms expected between 4 and 8 p.m. There is a 60 percent chance of rain Friday, with about one-quarter of an inch expected, according to the forecast.
