Overnight Snow Melts Quickly Across Stamford

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. – A couple of inches of wet snow fell overnight across Fairfield County. But it wasn't lasting long as temperatures warm up Monday into the mid-40s.

Here are a selection of snowfall totals from across Fairfield County, supplied by the National Weather Service:  

  • Fairfield: 3.1 inches 
  • New Canaan: 2.9 inches 
  • Danbury: 2.5 inches
  • Norwalk: 2.2 inches
  • Wilton; 2.0 inches 
  • Bridgeport: 2.0 inches

The high temperatures on Monday and Tuesday are expected to be in the upper 40s, then climb to 60 degrees on Wednesday before sliding into the upper 50s on Thursday and Friday, according to the National Weather Service. It will be partly cloudy most of the week, with rain in the forecast for Friday.
