Labor Day Weekend Weather Shines on Stamford

STAMFORD, Conn.—Labor Day Weekend is traditionally the last weekend of the summer, and for many in Stamford the beaches will be hot spots.

The sun should be out Saturday and Sunday though there's a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms both days. Temperatures will be in the low 80s, the National Weather Service forecast said.

The weather may take a turn for the worse Sunday night as showers become more likely, the forecast said. Monday is looking like a wash out, with a 60 percent of chance of showers and thunderstorms before 2 p.m., the forecast said.

The weather service also issued a Coastal Flood Statement warning residents of possible flooding during high tide.
