Alert Issued After Bobcat Sightings Reported Near Two Schools In Fairfield County Two schools have cut recess for the week after a pair of bobcat sightings were reported. Officials with the Weston Public Schools sent out a letter to parents after they were warned by police about the sightings. The bobcat or cats were seen near the lower end of the Hurlbutt Elementary School and the Weston Intermediate School. The town's animal control officer, Mark Harper, who surveyed the area on Tuesday, said he plans to put up game cameras to try and locate the animals.
