A recall has been issued for a Tosititos product that may contain an undeclared ingredient. Frito-Lay today issued the voluntary recall for select 15 oz. Tostitos Avocado Salsa Jar Dips due to the possible presence of an undeclared milk allergen, according to an announcement by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). "Those with an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk run the risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products," the announcement said. A company recalled thousands of pounds of soup mix products because they contain an undeclared allergen. MSI Express Inc. recalled about 16,498 pounds of chicken and rice soup mix products because they contain undeclared milk, the United States Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced on Wednesday, July 20. The recall includes the company's "Knorr Professional Soup Du Jour Red Thai Style Curry Chicken With Rice Soup Mix" with a Best By date of Jan. 19, 2024, for products distributed in the US, FSIS said. Company Recalls Sliced Bread Products
A company has recalled some of its sliced bread products because they contain an undeclared allergen. Calise & Sons Bakery, Inc. reported that its Italian Scala Bread products produced on Nov. 23 contain sesame seeds, and they were packaged in a bag that says "Golden Flax Seed Scala Bread." The sesame seeds were not declared on the packaging. The company said 689 of the products were distributed to markets in Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire and Rhode Island. A public health alert has been issued for meatballs sold at Whole Foods Market due to an undeclared allergen. The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) issued an alert this week after Whole Foods sold an undetermined amount of beef meatballs with marinara sauce that were misbranded and produced with an undeclared allergen. Hundreds of pounds of a ready-to-eat chicken meatball product have been recalled due to an undeclared allergen. Santa Fe Importers, based out of California, is recalling approximately 1,589 pounds of chicken meatball products that contain soy, which is not declared on the label, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced.
