Trinity Catholic HS In Stamford To Close Following Academic Year Trinity Catholic High School in Stamford will be closing after the school year, the Diocese of Bridgeport announced on Thursday, Feb. 27. "It is with deep personal sadness that I write to inform you that Trinity Catholic High School will not reopen its doors for the 2020-21 academic year," Bishop of Bridgeport, Rev. Frank J. Caggiano wrote in a letter posted on the diocese's website.  Caggiano cited three reasons for the closure. Stamford Schools On Lockdown Following 'Incident' There is a heavy police presence near several Fairfield County schools following an incident. Stamford Police said on Twitter that Newfield Avenue will be closed from Grey Farm Road to Vine Road until further notice. There is a lockdown at Trinity Catholic High School, which is located nearby on Newfield Avenue. Police said action involves an "isolated incident." The area of the incident is also located near the Stamford JCC on Newfield Avenue, which is on lockdown along with the Catholic Academy of Stamford is also reportedly on lockdown. The mobile classroom designed to promote safe driving will be at the school from Monday, May 7 through Friday, May 11. Bearingstar Insurance is proud to bring Distractology, which was developed and funded by the Arbella Insurance Foundation.
