Jackknifed Tractor-Trailer Spills Fuel On Snow-Covered I-84 Stretch Fuel had to be cleaned from a snow-covered stretch of Interstate 84  in Connecticut following a crash involving a tractor-trailer.  The crash happened in Tolland County on Tuesday morning, Feb. 28, when an Amazon tractor-trailer crashed on Interstate 84 westbound in Willington between Exit 71 and Exit 72, according to state police.  The tractor-trailer became jackknifed and spilled fuel as a result of the crash, police said. I-684 Reopens Following Crash Injuring 3 Three people were injured, including one person who was ejected, when a tractor-trailer flipped on a packed highway. The incident took place in Northern Westchester around 8 a.m., Wednesday, July 20 on northbound I-684 in Katonah. The crash closed the roadway for several hours, but it has since reopened, said New York State Police Trooper AJ Hicks. Information regarding the crash, including the condition of those injured, and the number of vehicles involved, was not immediately available, Hicks said. This is a developing story. Crash Update: Eastbound I-84 Still Closed Following Crash, State Police Say A section of I-84 has reopened following a fiery rollover crash by a tractor-trailer that spilled lumber across the roadway in Northern Fairfield County. As of 3 p.m., westbound lanes of travel had reopened, with eastbound lanes still closed to traffic, state police said.  The crash took place just before 7:15 a.m., Tuesday, March 30 near Exit 13 in Newtown, Connecticut State Police said. The closure was on the eastbound side near Exit 4 in Danbury on Tuesday morning, Oct. 13. The crash occurred just after 6:30 a.m. and the lanes remain closed during the accident investigation by Connecticut State Police through about 10:30 a.m., when the lanes reopened. Tractor-Trailer Crash Causes Hours-Long I-95 Delays This story has been updated. There were delays of around two hours on a stretch of I-95 after a tractor-trailer crash in Fairfield County. The crash happened on the northbound side Friday morning, Aug. 21 at around 4 a.m., initially shutting down all lanes in Darien between Noroton Avenue/Exit 10 and Route 1/Exit 11. One lane reopened around daybreak with traffic backed up to Harvard Avenue/West Avenue (Exit 6) in Stamford. The highway did not fully reopen until the end of the morning commute.
