94-Year-Old CT Woman Drowns At State Park Beach A 94-year-old Connecticut woman drowned while swimming at a state park beach. The incident occurred in New Haven County at Hammonasset Beach State Park in Madison on Thursday, June 20. The incident took place in New London County around 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, July 18 in the Park Drive area of Sprague. Body Of Missing Swimmer Found By Divers In Candlewood Lake Divers have recovered the body of a man who went missing while swimming on Candlewood Lake in Fairfield County. The man, in his 20s, was found around 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, June 28 in the area of the lake in Brookfield  -- near "Chicken Rock,'' -- where he went missing on Friday, June 24.
