According to police, at approximately 3:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 1, a Greenwich resident was asleep inside her gray 2018 Mercedes SUV on East Putnam Avenue near the intersection of Church Street when she was approached by unknown suspects. Video: Police Seek Public's Help Identifying Witnesses Of Bridgeport Homicide Bridgeport Police are asking the public for help in identifying persons of interest and potential suspects in the murder of a Monroe man. Jose Perez-Ortiz, 41, was killed around 6 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 1, outside a store at Shelton Street and Noble Avenue, said Terron Jones, spokesman for the Bridgeport Police According to Jones, video surveillance in the area shows Perez-Ortiz attempting to stab a man who then pulled a gun and fired, striking him.
