Olga was born in Stamford on August 19, 1949, to the late Angelo and Tessie Karas. She lived her whole life in Stamford, where she grew up with her brother Deno, graduated from Stamford High School, married her husband Dimitrios (Jimmy) Kapakos, and raised her two sons, George Kapakos (Sandra) of Scottsdale, AZ, and Angelo Kapakos (Donna) of Stratford, CT.

Suspect Nabbed For Fatal Shooting Of Stamford Teen At Car Meeting
Police have made an arrest in a shooting during a meeting of car enthusiasts that left a 19-year-old former high school sports standout dead in Fairfield County.
Everett Brown, age 21, of Stamford, was apprehended on Wednesday, April 21 by the Stamford Police Major Crimes Unit after the department executed a search warrant at Brown’s residence, said Stamford Police Lt. Tom Scanlon.

Greenwich Police Officer Dies Suddenly
A Greenwich police officer died suddenly Tuesday, Dec. 17, during a medical emergency, the department said.
Justin Quagliani, 38, died around 5 a.m., after suffering a medical emergency at his Greenwich residence while off-duty, said the Greenwich Police Department.
Police and Greenwich Emergency Medical Service personnel responded to his residence, attempted lifesaving efforts and then transported him to Greenwich Hospital where he was eventually declared dead, the department said.

Stamford Woman's Death A Homicide, Police Now Say
Stamford police are confirming that the death of a local woman who was found covered in blood was a homicide.
Capt. Richard Conklin said they are searching for clues and interviewing everyone connected with Eden Claxton, 74, who was found dead around 8:30 a.m. Monday on Hycliff Terrace.
The woman's husband, Allen Claxton, 75, was at the home at the time of her death and is being questioned, along with numerous other people, said Conklin.

Stamford Suspect Nabbed For 2016 Murder In Drug Deal Gone Bad
Bridgeport police arrested a juvenile for his role in the 2016 murder of teenager Shane Slinsky, according to Av Harris, the Bridgeport police spokesman.
The unidentified Stamford juvenile was charged with felony murder, murder, conspiracy to commit robbery, larceny and carrying a pistol without a permit, Harris said.
He is being held on $1 million bond.
“An additional arrest is expected shortly,” Harris added.
