CT Woman Suffers Life-Threatening Injuries In Wrong-Way Crash
A Connecticut woman suffered life-threatening injuries during a wrong-way crash.
The crash took place in New Haven County around 11:50 p.m., Monday, July 11, in Waterbury, on Route 8 South.
According to state police, a Honda Pilot was traveling southbound and a Honda HRV northbound when they collided, state police said.
The driver and occupants of the Pilot suffered minor injuries. They were transported to St. Mary's hospital for treatment.

A Connecticut man wanted for the homicide of another man found shot to death inside a vehicle turned himself in to police.
New Haven County resident Jose Baez Candelario, age 43, of Waterbury, turned himself in on Saturday, March 5, for the September 2021 murder of Timothy Hughes.
On Monday, Sept. 13, 2021, Waterbury responded to the area of Southview Street and found 39-year-old Huges inside a vehicle in the driveway suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, said Lieutenant Ryan Bessette, of the Waterbury Police.

Suspect In Fatal Shooting Of CT Woman Commits Suicide, Police Say
A man who was a suspect in the shooting of two Connecticut women, killing one and leaving the other in critical condition, has committed suicide.
During a press conference on Tuesday, March 8, Waterbury Police identified the woman who was killed and announced the suicide.
The victim of the shooting that took place around 2:15 a.m., Saturday, March 5 in New Haven County in Waterbury was identified as Glenys Maomi Aloyo, age 35, of Waterbury, said Lt. Ryan Bessette, of the Waterbury Police.

Two Woman Shot, One Killed In Connecticut
One Connecticut woman was shot and killed, and another wounded in an overnight incident.
The incident took place in New Haven County around 2:15 a.m., Saturday, March 5 outside of 215 Hill St., in Waterbury.
The women were found when officers responded to weapons complaints outside of a home, said Lieutenant Ryan Bessette, of the Waterbury Police.

Police have identified a man who was found shot to death in the driveway of a Connecticut home.
New Haven County resident Timothy Hughes, age 39, was found around 11:35 p.m., on Friday, Sept. 10, when police responded to shots fired complaint in Waterbury in the area of Southview Street.
Upon the officer’s arrival, Huges, of Waterbury, was located inside a vehicle in the driveway of the residence suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, said Sgt. Robert Davis of the Waterbury Police.

Funeral services have been set for a Newtown business owner and Greenwich High School graduate who was one of two people killed in a wrong-way crash on I-84.
According to Connecticut State Police, Diego Fernando Jimenez, 48, of Newtown, died following a wrong-way crash around 1 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 14, on I-84 in Southbury.
State Police said the crash occurred when David Hozer, 46, of Southbury, was traveling the wrong way on westbound I-84 when his 2011 Audi Q5 struck a limousine Jimenez was driving.
