Suspect In Murder Of NY Woman Fatally Shoots Himself In Front Of Cops In Stamford
A man who had allegedly murdered a woman earlier in the day in the Hudson Valley shot and killed himself in Connecticut in front of police when cornered. The incident began around 9 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 31 in Rockland County when the Ramapo Police discovered a 56-year-old woman lying on the ground on Innwood Drive suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in the Hillcrest section of Ramapo. Numerous Occupants Of Stalled Vehicles Rescued During Storms In Stamford
Fire and police crews were stretched thin in Stamford on Tuesday as all hands were on deck while they worked to assist stranded area residents dealing with flooded and stalled vehicles. Officials said that the fire department received nearly 300 calls on Tuesday afternoon during the heart of the storm, which dumped more than 1.10 inches of rain in Stamford.
