21-Year-Old ID'd As Victim Of Fatal Motorcycle Crash A 21-year-old Connecticut man was killed in the early morning hours of Friday, Nov. 8, in New London County after he lost control of his motorcycle and crashed, authorities said.  Elijah W. Hummel, of Groton, was found seriously wounded near 33 Fort Hill Road, between Depot Road and South Road, authorities said.  Paramedics rushed him to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital, where he died of his injuries.  The initial investigation revealed that Hummel had been riding a 2024 Kawasaki ZX-400 westbound on Fort Hill Road at a high rate of speed, police said. Alert Issued For Missing 27-Year-Old CT Man Police issued an alert about a missing 27-year-old Connecticut man who was last seen in late June. Max Scott was last seen by family and friends in New London County on Saturday, June 25, walking on South Road in Groton, according to an announcement from the Town of Groton Police Department on Wednesday, July 6.
